PE, Sport & Physical Activity
PE Sport & Physical Activity
The academy is very fortunate in having good indoor and outside facilities, upper and lower playground, for PE and games. The academy also possesses a large playing field, which is used for a range of sports and to develop physical activity during lunchtime, along with 2 halls, 1 with gymnastic apparatus and the other for dance. The school is proud to have gained the Playmark from Play England for its provision during lunchtime. All the children participate in Sports Day on the field, sporting theme days, taking part in many different activities. KS2 children have the opportunity to represent the school at various sporting tournaments and competitions within Education Ossett Community Trust (EOCT). During Years 5 and 6 children attend swimming lessons at Ossett Academy. For the past 2 years we have hosted the mini Olypmics for all KS1 children from Ossett to attend.
Every half term we are having our own intra school event based on skills the children have developed in their PE lessons.
